Ambience:

You could rate it as one of the best in the city, the indoors are clean and well spread but its the outdoors which has stunning views. The view includes dense patch of trees and the durgam cheruvu (lake view)

You are welcomed into the property through a path with lush green trees and plants on both the sides, you then have 2 sections for 2 different restaurants. The Hoppery’s entrance takes you back to a trip. With white and blue paintings its a gorgeous entry.

The indoors are set with classic wooden tables and chairs, the covers are simple yet attractive with the colours used. The bar counter is set up clean and neat with a display of their alcohol offerings.

Food:

Appetizers:

We actually had a lot of food. To begin with we had the Roasted cauliflower with red pepper and almond sauce, a basic simple preparation of roasted and well seasoned cauliflower , paired along with a red pepper coulis. It tasted pretty good, simple flavors.

Sauerkraut and potato croquettes were pretty good as well. Slighly acidic cabbage binded with mashed potato and crumb fried was an interesting one. The mustard sauce went really well with it.

Pretzel Pops were a good take , everyone does the actual identical shape, but they’ve done it like no other. Served with a homemade honey mustard dipping sauce. The pretzel has a salty hard crust with a soft inside. Potato shells with cheese were good, I would have liked a little more of cheese in it, however even this tasted good.

Potato Pancakes were something I expected them to be pretty average but they turned out to be extremely good. Again the mustard sauce was a perfect condiment.

German fish balls in herb sauce shall be your pick if you like fish and dill pairing. The curry wurst was another amazing one, this was a chicken version. The sausage had slits, cooked and then had a coat or barbeque sauce and a dusting of curry powder.

Brews:

Main Course:

Mushroom Stroganoff with rosti was the best vegetarian option. Button mushrooms cooked in a brownish orange coloured sauce flavoured with vinegar and topped with a dollop of sour cream. The rosti along with it was extremely well done and is a meal by itself.

German Bratwurst , a pork sausage came with a side of mashed potato and caramelized onion. We also had chicken schnitzel but i missed tasting that. It had a potato salad on the side as well.

Tenderloin and stout stew with fettuccine was photogenic. The fettuccine was perfectly al dente, The stew and fettuccine together worked well.

Desserts:

The apple strudel was the best dessert of the day, apples cooked with cinnamon, butter and sugar were rolled in a puff pastry and baked. Warm strudel along with vanilla ice cream was a perfect ending.

Black forest on the other end was pretty basic, not sure about the authenticity but its a normal one , like how we get in the bakeries.

Pricing , Service and Location:

The prices are reasonable , the pricing is steep for a few dishes which could be because of the quality of meat. A place with good food and such stunning views is worth the money.

Service was prompt and quick.
