Quite often you see restaurants and hotels come up with food festivals where they explore something that’s different from the rest. This is where they have huge menus , lots of varieties and ambience accordingly. On the other side they do have some interesting concepts where it isn’t a big spread or just to satisfy or offer something that goes well. This time Taj Deccan has come up with the concept called Beerizza. You get to choose a pint of beer and a pizza with any two toppings.

This is at Arena , one of the restaurants of Taj Deccan. About the ambience, its a pretty open space. As soon as you get it you’d see this just after the lobby. Couldn’t take pictures of the arrangements because it was packed. The waterfall and the koi pond along with the trees around make it an ideal space.

You can opt for a mocktail or a cocktail if you aren’t okay with a beer. We tried quite a few pizzas. The good part is that these are loaded with the topping and some quality mozzarella. We tried Chicken tikka , BBQ prawns , Broccoli, caramelized onion and a few others.

These pizzas aren’t the thin crust versions. Every place has thin crust and these regulars are fading away. The tomato sauce on the base needs a special mention. Not like a store bought or a bland raw tomato one. This was flavorful with a hint of basil. My pick though was the chicken tikka. This was an exceptional one.

This combo is priced at 599 all inclusive and goes on till 30th of June.
