Drunch at By The Bottle

By the bottle has become quite popular in the recent past. Majorly the name says it all. It all started with the pricing as per the bottle. Its a rooftop bar with some really good views.

They have come up with a all new Drunch. This was my first . So this basically is for people mostly who tend to get up at noon after Saturday night and make full use of Sunday morning.

Lets check them out. #hyderabadfoodexplorer #letsexplorehyderabad #hyderabadfoodblogger

Ambience:

I was expecting a huge place , but wasn’t a real big one , but was a good one. Its a roughly 75 seater. It has seating separated by temporary sliders and blinds.

There are high chairs , a neat bar counter , live screening and Dj setting up the vibe.

Food and Beverages:

We had around 8 appetizers , main course in chaffing dishes (buffet setup) as a part of the Drunch.

Appetizers:

Vegetarian:

The spinach and corn croquettes were the first to reach our table. Mini croquettes with minimal spinach and corn a bit more on the potato tasted good. The crispy exterior was the best part.

I  loved the Paneer bageecha . As the word bageecha translates to garden , it had a marinade with greens. It had an amazing taste. The softness of the paneer added to the overall texture.

Five spice baby corn again was a good one, the crisp coating and also the sauce in which the baby corn were tossed tasted good. Although the baby corn need a bit more of the blanching.

There was hara bhara tikki as well , which I couldn’t try.

Non Vegetarian:

Chukandar chicken kebab was something which blew us away. The appearance wasn’t convincing but the taste again was spot on. Tender and juicy chicken with a hint of beetroot.

Prawns tempura wasn’t tempura to be frank. More like the golden fried prawns or loose prawns. If you put that aside , the taste was good.

Taipei chicken perfectly worked to cover up the oriental part of the appetizer. Batter fried chicken tossed in a slighly tangy sauce.

Amritsari fish adds on as a perfect snack to the drinks. A crisp boneless fish is what you can ask for as a perfect accompaniment

Beverages:

I just had their mocktails. These were some basic cocktails with a mix of flavours and fresh fruit. I personally loved the strawberry one with the virgin mojito as a base.

Main course and Desserts:

You can choose from around 10 main courses on offer. They have 2 to 4 curries, flat breads made to order.

Chicken khabsa was a unusual dish that was a part of the Drunch. Haven’t seen a place put it up as a part of the buffet. Also they had a few oriental dishes like fried rice , noodles etc.

Gajar ka halwa, fresh cut fruits and brownies were the desserts on offer.

Sunset view:

Pricing , Service and location:

The price is 1500++ for unlimited food and beverages. The drunch starts at 3:30 and goes on till 7:00.

The service was good enough. Smooth and efficient.
