The Eve started with some performances by school kids who were apart of a organization (N.G.O.) They had it all set for the big reveal all set up.

Then came in Chef Thimma who was the lead behind the culinary treats and the ginger bread art. A brief explanation on what has been used , the efforts put in and welcoming the guests of honor.

A beautifully arranged hi tea setup which included a lot of petit fours , cheese board , some live churros station and a beverage setup on one side.

Each and every dessert was beautifully crafted and the sad part was that I couldn’t try them as I had to rush back. Never the less I’m sure they might have been fabulous as they looked.

What is ginger bread?

Gingerbread refers to baked goods, typically flavored with ginger powder and other spices, sweetened with sugar , honey or molasses. Gingerbread foods vary, ranging from a soft, moist loaf cake to something close to a cookie. (source: Wikipedia)

The setup was beautifully done, decorated with the essentials like the caps, stars , bells etc. It was all in red and whit. That looked so amazing. Then the guest of honor pulling the curtains off to reveal what’s inside. On the side a team singing carols with such class , spreading the Christmas vibes already and santa claus moving around.

The reveal:

To make this it took 11 chefs , 16 days working for 8 to 9 hours a day. Ingredients include butter , flour , sugar , ginger powder etc. About 300 kgs of sugar (including the royal icing) was used which is a rare sight. Such intense work.

Okay , so what was it?

It was a Train engine with 2 bogies attached which house products (Christmas specials) for sale to the public. They include Plum cakes, Plum puddings, cookies , stollen breads etc. (prices attached)

All in all, the eve was a successful and something that we enjoyed. Looking forward to visit a few more of such events and put them here.
