This is yet another new addition to the list. With a lot coming up it has become quite difficult to sustain unless you have everything absolutely on target. This is a place that looks promising for the longer run.
Lets check them out. Instagram: hyderabadfoodexplorer
Ambience:
This is the first impression that everyone builds up even before getting into the food. This place has amazed each and every one of us with the royal look to it and also really well planned seating.
It is a perfect fine dine place , individual tables set for privacy and a neat bar counter at the entrance. You’ll love the ambience.
Food:
Soup:
It all started with a Badami yakhni Shorba which was a great start. The flavours were bang on. Not too high with the spice but high on flavour. Its a thin soup and light on the palate. A must try.
Appetizers:
Vegetarian:
The first to come was the thai paneer tikka. It had a marinade with some thai seasonings in it.
The veg gilafi looked good but I could not taste it. Looked appealing.
The panko crumbed Mozzarella sticks were like a half success because half of the sticks were hollow. The cheese just came out while it was fried. So unhappy with that.
The best of the day were the spinach and cheese rolls. Crispy outer , not greasy with a mild balanced stuffing of spinach and cheese. A must try.
Non Vegetarian:
Tandoori game bird is just a fancy name but the flavours again were top. The marinade was perfect just makes you want more. Its not your ordinary chicken. A must try.
Next came in was the tandoori jaara chicken. This though was disappointing. Nothing much to talk about.
The next one was the Mediterranean lamb. It had a good amount of lemon juice on top once it was done with the cooking part. But chewy and rubbery. Needs a lot of work.
The banjara tangdi was a good one too. It had a creamy, cheesy rich marinade. Fineshed off in a tandoor to perfection.
Mocktails:
We had a lot of mocktails coming in. A lot of the barman specials. We had some mojitos, mint coolers, pineapple chocolate, watermelon and basil and a few other. Each and every mocktail had the right balance in terms of sweetness or the additional flavourings.
Main course:
Vegetarian:
The first time I ever heard of a kadai Veg masala pizaa. It was a good one. Unlike others this place has a thick crust with loads of toppings.
Kaju kumb , kushrang paneer and lagan ka mela were the vegetarian curries. I tried a littlke of them and all of them were good. Similar to each one of the other with basic changes.
Assorted Bread basket.
The Zafrani Veg pulao looked good but i felt it would have been better if the paneer was pan fried or seared before adding it into the preparation.
Non Vegetarian:
Mexican chicken pizza was a good one as well. It had olives and some jalapenos as well I guess. This again was a thicker crust and I did like it.
Chandini Korma was a star. It was a rich cashew base curry with perfectly cooked chuncks of mutton. Love mutton? A must try.
Fish tikka masala was also a good one. It had more of a tomato base gravy. The fish was cooked well as well.
Haven’t tried the kheema biryani. So can’t judge it.
Desserts:
All the desserts need improvement. Not even one was on the target.
The cheesecake was too dense and had more like a jelly texture to it. Something that isn’t loved in a cheesecake.
The creme caramel was said to have coffee in it but it had not coffee flavour at all. I’m not sure if it had coffee it in.
The last was the sizzling brownie. The brownie had a slight eggy smell but also when placed on the sizzler plate directly burnt a lot of it. Also it was more like a cake than a brownie (fudge style).
Service and location:
The service was a great push. The were literally on their toes to get everything done righ. Kudos to the entire team of service.
