Barbeque nation – the grill nation

We all know barbeque nation stands as one of the major barbeque restaurants across the country. They have pioneered the use of barbeque or grill on the table. Their food is always on spot.

They have opened or relocated an outlet on road number 36, Jubilee hills.

ABOUT:

Founded in 2006 to offer a exquisite and a filling dining experience. Since then they’ve never looked back. The very first one started in Mumbai and now have over 95 outlets across the country.

Ambience:

This is setup in a huge place. Its got a good seating capacity. The tables are lined on either sides with the buffet in the centre.

The bar counter is neatly setup on one side. There are service stations placed strategically to ease the process.

Food:

So there is nothing different from the other branches of barbeque nation. For the live grill you have around 5 non vegetarian and 5 non vegetarian options.

The pre made ones include seekh kebabs, crispy corn , cajun potatoes etc that come in straight from the kitchen.

The first round of live grills were over cooked and charred already but the next lot was much better.

The were not perfectly done. A few lacked the kick from the marination , spice levels etc.

The garlic prawns and fish were pretty decent. The adraki chicken also was good.

I only tried crispy corn and cajun spiced potatoes from the vegetarian ones. The corn was pretty good but the skin of potato was a little bitter.

The best appetizer was the seekh kebab. Perfectly cooked and succulent.

We had a few mocktails to go with the meals. I loved the mojito.

When you are done with your apetizers you cant really take it on the main course. The wish grills with chinese , Shawarma , pasta and kheema were pretty good. The kheema and chat counter were pretty good.

The gravies also looked pretty decent. I have not tasted them though. I have tasted their dum gosht biryani but even that needs some work to be done. The mutton was a bit chewy and the biryani did not have the charm.

The issues here are pretty small and can be easily rectified.

Coming to the desserts i had the brownie and mango pastry. Both of them were pretty good. The best dessert of barbeque nation is always their kulfi. I had around 5 of them. All were good. Perfect way to end the meal.
