Hyderabad has become a hub from micro breweries.
For those who do not what micro breweries are,
A microbrewery or craft brewery is a brewery that produces small amounts of beer, typically much smaller than large-scale corporate breweries, and is independently owned. Such breweries are generally characterized by their emphasis on quality, flavour and brewing technique.
Repete makes a few beers in their units which you can see at the place. They also have small portions of drinks so that you can decide on one after tasting.
We started with some appetizers. We had pepper prawns, lemon grass chicken tenders , Peri peri prawns, lamb chops (some kebab in the menu) , chicken tangdi, hara bhara kebabs and veg quesadilla.
The pepper chicken had the kick from the freshly ground pepper. They were crisp and good. The chicken tenders were crisp but lacked flavour of the lemon grass. The peri peri prawns cooked to perfection and beautifully marinated. Tangdi was juicy and tender. The hara bhara was filled with cheese and was a goodd vegetarian option.
Then we moved onto the Pizzas and pastas. We had a chicken pizza , white sauce pasta and tomato sauce based pasta. The white one was creamy with good chuncks of chicken. The pizza was good , loaded with cheese.
In between i had like 2 to 3 mojitos. Simple and refreshing.
The mains were yet to come. The grilled chicken and grilled fish.
It was actually grilled chicken in pepper sauce. But the sauce came seperately but lacked the taste of pepper. Also the chicken was over cooked and the meat was tough.
The fish was way better. Served with home made tartare sauce with capers. The fish was well done but i prefer store bought mayo instead the actual egg yolk and oil one.
Both came with sauteed vegetables and potato mash. The vegetables had tea leaves in it but i wonder why did they add them. As far as I know they might have mistaken tea and oregano leaves because both look similar. Otherwise if that was not a mistake it was a bad idea.
At the end we had two desserts. The chocolate mousse and the chocolate samosa.
The mousse is not actually a mousse but is ganache. The taste was fine but i would have actully removed the butter from it. I dont really like the taste of butter in chocolate. The amount of butter was more than needed.
On the other hand the chocolate samosa was really well done. A absolute must if you are here. The outer pastry is filled with brownie then deep fried. Served warm along with ice cream and chocolate sauce. A must try.
Ambience, pricing and location:
The ambience is way too good. The Dj playing music or mixing them , a bar counter, the brewing units and the live screen on the inside. The outside has a decent view and the terrace has 5 tables with an amazing view and atmosphere.
The pricing is apt for the location , taste and quality of food.
